Love and keep loving life!

Hi everyone!

What a start of the year 2018! Let me celebrate the Chinese new year with you! This year, is the year of the dog – Let’s put good juju out there for a good one for all! There’s an expression in French that says: “Avoir du chien” which would translate literally as “To have dog” but it really means: Let’s be attractive – Have IT!

What I’ve been up to?

We just returned from a trip to Europe (Switzerland, Serbia, and France) where we had a special screening of our film in my home Swiss home and at the magical Chaplin’s World. We had a great time and we were happy with the feedback we received about our film – Cheese! See report here.

Otherwise…

Next week Love All You Have Left will be screening at the San Diego Jewish Film Festival. If you are a parent of a teenager and think she or he might enjoy attending the screening it’s happening on February 13^th at 6pm and it’s FREE. It’s for teens only. Sara Wolfkind who portrays Anne Frank in the film, Matt Sivertson, and I will be there. Tickets to RSVP are available at: www.sdcjc.org

I was fortunate to have a part in another film that will be screening there on March 9^th as well called Coming and Going in Vegas. I’m thrilled because I finally get to act alongside fellow actor Tony Cox (Mark Anthony Cox runs Coxiano Casting). I was fortunate to book the part of Grace Taylor in Daydream Hotel because of his recommendation to the director. A wonderful experience filming with a talented and promising cast. Shot on location at the legendary Hotel Del Coronado.

Coming and Going in Vegas is based on a true story yet it’s been adapted for the screen but what is the most incredible thing is that it’s been inspired by a story written by one of my agents at Shamon Freitas agency. Frank DiPalermo who is also a performer and a writer.

Again, thank you for your support as Love All You Have Left is being submitted to the festival circuit and finding its path, being shared with an audience (it was seen privately through private screenings by about 400 people) and getting closer to the gatekeepers. We hope to have a screening in Los Angeles soon and in different states near you in the future through the festival circuit and/or through the educational route. Please share the love or if you hear about a place that’d be interested in screening it, let us know.

Last but not least…

I’m excited to have been cast as the character of Lotus (a creepy but charming therapy group leader) in the upcoming witty and well-written series called Heart Burn by Christina Corcoran. I applied to the San Diego Fringe International Festival for my one woman show called as of now “Hi/bonjour”…Wish me luck!

Bonjour à tous!

Quel début d’année 2018! Laissez-moi vous souhaiter la bonne année chinoise! Cette année, c’est l’année du Chien – mettons de bonnes vibrations dans ce monde ! Bref…Ayons du chien !

Où en suis-je ?

Et bien, nous revenons d’un voyage en Europe (Suisse, Serbie, et France) où nous avons eu une projection de notre film dans la région de Montreux Riviera soit, au Chaplin’s World. Nous avons passé un très joli moment et sommes heureux du retour que nous avons reçu sur notre film. Voir rapport ici.

La semaine prochaine Love All You Have Left aura une diffusion au San Diego Jewish Film Festival. Si vous connaissez des parents d’adolescents sur la côte ouest n’hésitez pas à partager (le monde est petit) ! Cette projection est gratuite ! J’ai eu la chance de participer à un tournage d’un court-métrage qui sera également diffusé lors de cette semaine du film. Ce projet s’intitule Coming and Going in Vegas. Il a été écrit sur la base d’une histoire vraie adaptée pour l’écran. Ce qui est fou, c’est que l’un de mes agents de l’agence Shamon Freitas (je suis avec eux depuis plus de 10 ans:) est derrière celle-ci. Frank DiPalermo écrit et se représente également sur scène avec un one man show !

Merci pour votre soutien, je me répète mais vraiment nous ne faisons rien seul…Love All You Have Left est soumis dans le circuit des festivals, a pour l’instant été partagé avec une petite audience privée d’au moins 400 personnes et se rapproche des gardiens de portes de l’industrie. Nous espérons avoir une diffusion à Los Angeles prochainement et dans différents cantons/départements près de chez vous et/ou à travers la branche éducative puisque le journal d’Anne Frank est une lecture obligatoire dans les écoles secondaires/les lycées du moins aux Etats-Unis. Si vous entendez parler d’un endroit qui serait intéressé d’accueillir une projection du film, c’est avec grand plaisir !

Et finalement…

Je suis ravie de m’être vu offrir le rôle du personnage de Lotus (une femme un peu particulière et charmante qui « conduit» une thérapie de groupe). C’est pour une série pleine d’esprit et marrante intitulée Heart Burn. C’est une comédie ! Yes !
